spammers will not be counted in the list if they would implement proper rules in their contest, take invest world for example..
they are giving huge prize but its very hard to win because the admin checks all the referrals and update it to remove the
points from spammers.. if all the ptp forums would implement that rule in their referral contest i guess they will turn successful.

i know that spammers are not counted, what i am trying to say is that there is a tendency that many people will join under certain referral then spam, just take a look on the board one member got lots of downlines then compare it to those who are active, there i a big difference in numbers

Then I think, the method should have changed. Sharing revenue is a good idea in this case. When their downline spamming the forum, they won't get even a penny. It should make member selective from referring the people. Also I often see in Paid to Sign-up. Someone has to join a PTP and have x amount of posting to get paid. It will make people tends to spam. I think shareing revenue is a good idea, it is not necessariliy high (5% is enough i think)

1. Buy hosting and forum script.
2. Make sure you have enough money to pay members.
3. Get members to join.
4. Get people to advertise on your site.
4 steps. None of them easy. For the first step, you have to make sure you get a good forum script that functions well with no bugs or errors. Your site design as to be appealing so that people will enjoy posting on your site. The second step should be easy enough. If you have the money, you'll be able to pay your members. You'll want to set an appropriate rate for each post also. Step 3 and 4 are probably the hardest. You have to get a decent number of members to join before your site appeals to people to advertise on.

i dont thinks step one necessary, you just need buy a domain, use a free hosting and using free forum script. That is enough to cut some budget. I think step 2 doesn't easy at all. How much budget do you think the admin need to pay all of the member without advertisement ? the idea to start from non-paid forum is great, when there are a lot of member, then it is the right time to paid the member. Because at the time your forum should be crowded with member. How long do you think a forum will be crowded by member? If he start paying the member since the start of the forum, how many bucks should he pay to the member before the forum crowded and the advertiser come.

Very true what you said. better before making their own ptp forum, We practiced with a non-paying forums first. If we are already adept in managing non paying forum before we start to make ptp forum. So it will be easy to set up a strategy to make the interested advertisers and members

that is if you will be able to get members, if you will put up a non paying forum, i doubt if you will get ample of members, having the paid forums as your competitor, surely people will go to the one paying right? besides they will exert effort on posting for both forum so might as well go on posting with one that will pay them.

It is not necessarily true, paying forum has very limited topic. Usually it is just has something to do with money. Just make a forum which contain hot topic, for example : World Cup. I know a forum which has thousands of active member, but none of them get paid. And they are happy for that. Because the community is fun and the topic is interesting.

somehow you got your point there, but my question is world cup will not stay long right? so you got members pouring in and share their opinions on the forum... but for how long? if world cup will stay and be the talk of the town forever then there is no doubt people will share ideas

@neng :
that is just example my friend...yoko mean we as admin update the new hot topic and made new rules every the topic is changed...that will attract the people...or maybe we can open the site like mylot and give the freedom for member to discuss anything they want...of course if like this...we must calculate the rate per post...usually just $0.01 like mylot right?

that's what a forum is needed by the PTP, they should be able to make its members more creative as a human being,, by not counting the post that is not a quality I think will make people more creative and also more eager to make a good post,,

I think it's not easy to build your own PTP sites, if you have connections before to sponsors, it will be easier. Maybe they will not place their ads when you're launching but
if you can get many traffics so it's sure want to take their sponsor in there. Thera many which you have to prepare and you must have great amount of capital to start the
PTP first. If you can get many members and many traffics, you will get much profit from there.

That is why it is hard to establish PTP from the beginning. You will end up broke and feeling you are being ripped of by the member. PTP is not a site which can bring short term income.

well, if u want to start a PTP forum, u need at least $500 as your principle...
$200 is used to purchase domain name, hosting server and script etc... another $300 is prepared to pay your members... when your site is still new, it is quite hard for u to get sponsors, however, u can have it too if u have good promoting skill.

I don't friends is just enough. It is better if you invites all of your contacts (facebook come in handy), or even the another forum member. You can make a thread in PTP section and invites all members.

A lot of you are recommending that you start off as a non-paying forum. This is a horrible idea. If you're trying to discuss, say, sports, there are dozens of more popular forums for that. If you want to discuss HYIPs, there are a dozen more popular forums for that. Why would you want to go there? You have to have some sort of incentive that appeals to people that makes them want to post there.

A forum can't be big just in 1 day. If you looking at most of PTP forum nowadays, you will know that most of them, first of all, not paying the member for posting. But after their site sis bigger and known to the world, the paid the member. You should look at the history.
